Meet the Team
Mansystems CIO and Sr. Data Center consultant, Dr. Dirk Harryvan obtained his PhD in physics at the University of Utrecht in 1996. Since then he has worked for global IT companies such as Sun Microsystems, Dell and IBM. In 2007/2008 he was instrumental in creating and implementing “green datacenter” offerings, reviewing and advising data centers across the BeNeLux.

From Data Center floor to the IT services delivered
"I feel strongly about the subject. Overall, IT efficiency has only recently been put on the agenda. The result being that IT is currently one of the most wasteful industries. Many point solutions already exist, but the savings potential for the average datacenter remains enormous. In extreme cases, we are looking at cost reductions of 70-90%, but 30% is attainable under average circumstances without the need for major investments."
