KPN outsources Application Management for Assurance & Workforce
KPN awards contract to Mansystems
Barneveld, October 28th 2008 – Mansystems, the European Service & Governance Management specialist and KPN, the all round ICT service provider, have signed a three year outsourcing contract for KPN’s strategic Assurance & Workforce Management Systems. The deal consists of more than 9 FTEs and is aimed toward the service management, planning and reporting systems. From November 1st, 3 KPN IT Nederland staff members will begin their assignment as part of the Mansystems’ functional application maintenance (FAB) department.
Outsourcing of maintenance activities is part of KPN IT Nederland’s strong sourcing strategy. The strategy aims at outsourcing all activities that are not considered core activity, to specialized third parties. With this, KPN strives to increase, in particular, the quality of her services, as well as takes giant steps toward improving efficiency, due to significantly lower costs for customer service.
Mansystems is taking on responsibility for about 12 applications, which belong to the goal architecture defined by KPN's the core business needs. Furthermore, Mansystems has agreed to play an important role in managing end-to-end availability, as well as the “Governance” structure. The provision of services is supported by a sound sourcing strategy, which utilizes (far-reaching) automation and innovation, enabling cost effective realization.
Mansystems was nominated for the Platform Outsourcing Nederland/Outsourcing Magazine Awards by Elitas with this project. Read the story.
